The mission statement of this college is based on two key biblical texts. In Ephesians 4:11-12, the bible declares that the main purpose of the five fold ministry gifts is the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry. In 2 Timothy 2:15, the bible admonishes Christian workers to study to show themselves approved unto God. It is abundantly clear, that Christian education is vital to enhance the maturity of the saints and to empower them through knowledge in order that the church might be edified, and the kingdom business might prosper on the earth. There are three aspects of Christian education. These comprise formal, non formal and informal education. Formal Christian education can be pursued in a Bible College or a Theological seminary. Non- formal education has to do with unstructured specialized topics delivered seasonally. Informal education comprises a mentoring relationship. The Bible is the precious word of God. In the Bible, we find the specific revelation about God with regard to his purposes, his attributes and his plan of salvation for mankind. It is imperative that the Christian believer be exposed to sound and accurate theological education to complement personal devotion. This is because a number of tools and appropriate methodologies are required to have a proper understanding of the Holy Scriptures. This knowledge can only be gained in a Bible college setting. Unfortunately, there are two extremes when it comes to theological education. On the one hand, there are Bible colleges or seminaries, where the focus is solely on an academic study of the bible by liberal theologians, who are natural men devoid of the spirit. (See 1 Corinthians 2:13-14). In such colleges the truth will be elusive since the Holy Spirit is the agent of revelation. This position is affirmed by Paul in 2 Timothy 3:7-9. On the other hand, there are Bible colleges that have the spiritual ethos but lack a sound and rigorous academic flavor. Such institutions are really schools of ministry but not Bible colleges. This is because the academic element is absent. According to the book of proverbs, a false balance is an abomination to the Lord. Ramah Bible College has a sound balance between the academic and the spiritual. All faculty members are spirit-filled and mature Christians with sound theological education. Most of the lecturers have masters and doctoral degrees in biblical studies and theology, and are either in full time or part time ministry. The goal of Ramah Bible College is to train charismatic Christian leaders and believers on a global scale. Theological education is not only for ordained ministers or aspiring Christian leaders but also for any serious Christian who wants to have a deeper understanding of the Scriptures so as not to become a statistic in this end time climate of spiritual deception. In order to carry out this mandate of training, Ramah Bible College has flexible ways of making theological education accessible to all who are interested. Students may study by attending the College for lectures on a part-time basis once a week on a weekend or weekday. They will then be required to fulfill the credit load of their respective courses through relevant directed readings. The college also has extension centers in other countries apart from its home base in the United Kingdom.
